Tiger Woods Fails to Find Rhythm, Misses Cut at The Open Championship

Tiger Woods will miss his third consecutive cut as he was unable to get anything going during the first two rounds of The Open Championship, where he shot 79 and 77 to finish +14.

Woods has not made a cut since April, when he played the weekend at The Masters, which was highlighted by a Sunday round with low amateur Neil Shipley.

This weekend has been a talk task for more golfers than just Woods, as Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau are just two other names among many who have struggled with Royal Troon’s tough course conditions and less-than-favorable weather.

Woods is a 15-time Major Champion, winning The Open three times. He still receives a hero’s welcome as he walks up the 18th fairway onto the green from patrons:

It is likely the last time we will see Woods until early next year when he plays in his Hero World Challenge, an invitational in The Bahamas that he hosts.

Inspired by the likes of Woods, Palmer, McIlroy, and Koepka, Joey plays over 100 times a year in the South Central Pennsylvania area. When he isn't golfing, he is probably thinking about golfing, but he might be watching other sports, writing, or playing poker.
