Jon Rahm DUNKS on Report He’s Unhappy at LIV Golf: ‘They Just Make Sh*t Up’
Jon Rahm dunked on reports that he’s unhappy playing on LIV Golf and is willing to give back his millions to rejoin the PGA TOUR.
Last December, Golficity was one of the first outlets to report that Rahm was mulling a move to LIV Golf. He signed just days later, vacating his position as a member of the PGA TOUR.
However, his play has not been as consistent or as high-level as it was in the past. He has struggled to find his stride, at least for the most part, although he did win the LIV UK event just weeks ago.
But last week, reports started to circulate that Rahm was ready to return to the PGA TOUR. The Spaniard has been adamant that he is still a PGA TOUR member and even admitted that it was tough to watch some tournaments instead of playing in them.
However, he was quick to dispel any rumors after Golf Digest's initial report last week:
During the rain delay @ #LIVGolf Greenbrier, @JonRahmOfficial was shown this tweet.
Paraphrasing his comment while laughing:
“Yea thats why I can’t stop smiling out here. They just make sh*t up. Couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Rahm reportedly said:
"Yeah, that's why I can't stop smiling out here. They just make shit up. Couldn't be further from the truth."
To be fair, we have seen Rahm stop smiling on several occasions: once for a drone and another time for an unruly fan. But I'm just nitpicking there.
Rahm has played well, and although he hasn't been as good as he was last year, it is difficult to retain the dominance he had for more than one year. Let's also not act like he's some slouch who can't break par.
He finished second this past weekend, losing to Brooks Koepka in a playoff.
Rahm is still ranked 11th in the OWGR, and that's without earning any points in LIV due to its format. It is arguable that he is better than a handful of names ahead of him. I think many would choose him before Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, and potentially Ludvig Åberg.
Bryson DeChambeau is ranked 10th on the OWGR, and it is almost laughable to think that he is that far back.
Rahm may be hoping for a PGA TOUR - PIF Merger more than other players, but it is safe to say he won't be giving back any of his rumored $400 million for joining LIV.
