How LIV’s 2025 Season Stacks Up Head-to-Head Against PGA TOUR

Last month, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said that there wouldn’t be any LIV Golf involvement in the 2025 season as the sides continue to negotiate in a process that will reach the 15-month mark later this week.

And that statement is confirmed with Wednesday’s release of the first part of the LIV Golf schedule.

LIV announced its first four events for 2025, and all will be taking place on the same weekend as the PGA Tour’s biggest events of February and March.

DATE LIV GOLF EVENT PGA TOUR EVENT
Feb. 6-8 LIV Golf Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) WM Phoenix Open
Feb. 14-16 LIV Golf Adelaide (Australia) Genesis Invitational
March 7-9 LIV Golf Hong Kong Arnold Palmer Invitational
March 14-16 LIV Golf Singapore Players Championship

Because of the time delay with these events taking place halfway around the world, the events will not go head-to-head with each other on the weekends, but taking place over the same dates has been a departure from LIV’s typical scheduling.

Since its inception, most of LIV’s events have gone up against smaller PGA Tour events, but next year, the first four will be against one of the most popular tour stops on Super Bowl weekend, and the next three will compete with Signature Events.

Greg Norman said:

“As we set our sights on 2025, LIV Golf is gearing up for our most ambitious season start, to date. Since our debut in 2022, LIV Golf has played 34 tournaments in nine different countries across four continents. We are a global league with a global footprint, and we’re excited to kick off next season with four truly international events that will deliver our unique blend of elite golf, entertainment and culture to fans around the world.”

LIV Golf wraps up the 2024 season this month – first with the individual championship on the line in the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and the team championship in Dallas will follow.
