For over a year now, LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman has stayed out of all the chatter when it comes to the effort to finalize the agreement between PGA Tour Enterprises and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

He said late last year that his goal was to keep the league going into 2024, which he did.

Now, after a report by the Sports Business Journal saying that the PIF was looking to replace LIV’s only CEO and face of the company, Norman said that his plan is to continue to do his job and honor his contract.

Norman told Sports Illustrated that his deal runs through August 2025, and he plans to do his job until then.

Norman said:

“My commitment to LIV has been unquestioned, and my commitment into the future is also unquestioned. Time will tell. Will there be a change in my role? My position and my role is to deliver 2025 and get our schedule done and all the things we need to do.”

Norman began in the summer of 2021, suggesting that he was signed to a four-year deal at that time. Regardless, he said that his role is to maintain and grow LIV.

Norman added:

“I can only speak on LIV’s behalf and we’re moving forward irrespective (of a deal). Would it makes things easier? Yes, it would. Whether it’s a year or now. But knowing as an outsider looking in, since day 1 three years ago, is the fact that this was such a simple fix. I will go to my grave wondering about those first 18 months (with LIV) and why. Knowing where we are today. Knowing the acceptance of what LIV Golf is today. Why did it have to be that way?”

LIV wrapped up its second full season last month after playing an eight-tournament run in 2022. Aside from early international events, the full 2025 schedule has not yet been released.
