Jason Day Hit Pebble Beach in a Cozy Way, and People Lost Their Minds

Jason Day scripting has been the subject of many headlines on Golficity and other publications, and this week is no exception. 

On Sunday at the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach, Day wore perhaps his most cozy and comfortable outfit yet, and people lost their minds over it.

Day was outfitted in a full grey sweatsuit — sweatpants and a crew neck sweatshirt — at perhaps one of the most prestigious courses in the United States. Some loved it, others were confused by it, but one thing is for sure: Jason Day was as happy as a clam out there:

From commentators, the consensus was that Day lost his luggage and was stuck with this outfit for the final round of the tournament. Trevor Immelman jokingly made this suggestion as Day exited a bunker on Sunday, but it was not the case, even though Day trolled with a caption that said something similar following the final round:

From fans, the reactions were mixed. Some felt as if Day was underdressed; others feel like the entire idea of a dress code on the golf course is outdated. We’ll let you pick a side here and state why you feel that way.

But one thing is for certain: show up to Pebble Beach like this for a tee time with your buddies and expect to be turned away, as the course states on its website that sweatpants of any kind are prohibited.

Nevertheless, none of us are Jason Day. Malbon is undoubtedly pushing the limits of what is considered acceptable on the course, and as long as the PGA TOUR has no problem with what he wore on Sunday, there really should not be too much of a debate in terms of whether it is “acceptable” or not.
