Arccos New Launch is ‘The Smartest Laser Rangefinder’ in Golf
Arccos has launched what it calls “the Smartest Rangefinder in Golf,” as it is the first AI-powered smart laser rangefinder that delivers true distances to the pin based on conditions, including wind, slope, weather, and even altitude.
But there are a few drawbacks, with one being that it is not currently available yet, and is planned to ship to pre-orderers in late October. The other: it requires two subscriptions to operate.
Arccos is known for delivering some of the best data in the game to golfers of all skill levels. With billions of data points, the company has been able to flex its analytical muscles to help any player improve by recognizing the weak points in their game.
The only thing missing from its arsenal of products has been a rangefinder, and it’s finally here.
Arccos ‘Smartest Laser Rangefinder in Golf’
Arccos makes this claim based on three critical features the rangefinder is able to offer: Play Like Distances, Smarter Data, and Tournament Mode
- Plays Like Distances: The only rangefinder to deliver real-time “Plays Like” distances, automatically adjusting for weather conditions and slope, for the most precise yardage in the game.
- Smarter Data: Experience Smarter Data with automatic pin setting. Syncs with the app for less editing, more accurate stats, and smarter insights.
- Tournament Mode: Built for casual or competitive rounds. Toggle tournament mode on/off to be permissible under the rules of golf
These three features are available on other models on the market, but not as Arccos can offer them. The ability to offer a true read on a yardage despite all of the variables that can impact distance is powered by “evolving software,” which means the rangefinder will improve over time.

Nobody has an analytical database like Arccos does, and no company is able to offer seamless score and statistical tracking like they can, either. This rangefinder does both, and it’s something that true players can really take advantage of.
Some of my playing partners who utilize Arccos have been able to use the company’s Smart Sensors to truly improve their game and see what costs them strokes.

Tournament Mode is pretty standard and almost a necessity for any rangefinder on the market now, especially as rules have relaxed a bit in the past few years.
Here are some other “Key Features” Arccos lists:
- Accuracy +/- 1 Yard
- Automatic Pin Setting
- Vibration Lock
- 6.1x Optical Zoom
- 999 Yard Range
- Weather Resistant
- Storage Magnet
- Arccos App Integration
Two Subscriptions Required
The Arccos Smart Laser Rangefinder requires two paid subscriptions for operation, but you’re off the hook from both for one year.
You’ll need a Smart Laser Subscription and an active Arccos Game Tracking Subscription, each running you $16.67 per month, billed annually. This means, after the $299 you pay for the rangefinder itself, you’ll also be paying about $400 per year to use it effectively:
“These work together to deliver live hyper-local weather, precise mapping, and automatic software updates.”

Arccos is a great and reputable company with excellent products, and the new Smart Laser Rangefinder will likely compete with some of the best and highest-rated on the market, especially considering it has no shortage of features.
The big decision consumers will make is whether the subscription-based platform Arccos is offering for something as necessary as a rangefinder will translate to better play.
