Kentwool Producing New Socks To Prevent Foot Aches
One of the most common health issues that you find with golfers is that they have foot pain during and after a round. One company is trying to fix that issue with a new innovation.
Kentwool is introducing a new sock that is intended to help with the foot aches that all golfers have on the course. This could have an even bigger impact on players that like to walk the course rather than use a cart. Kentwool has created breathable and soft wool socks for golfers before but this sock will also include some therapeutic elements to limit pain throughout a round.
The new SensationWool sock takes much of what Kentwool has included in their socks in the past, the wool base with a Nufabrx nylon but also adds a cooling agent that is intended to relieve pain. If you’ve ever head of Icy Hot pain treatments or seen their commercials, it’s the same idea. Combining the warmth of the wool sock and the cooling agent is intended to provide a heat to cool sensation that has been proven to relieve aches and pains.

“We’ve always been committed to comfort, that is the foundation of our company,” Kentwool President Lauren Hubbard said of the company. “So, it made a lot of sense for us when we were positioned with this new and innovative fiber that had been treated and was able to take comfort to the next level.”
Now with any innovative, pain relieving piece of apparel, it won’t last forever. According to Kentwool, the sock has had proven effectiveness after 30 washing cycles. That would give the socks about a six month use time. And to get these socks for your next golf round, it will cost you around $25 per pair to get you through the season. The socks will still be good to wear after the six months but won’t have as strong of an effect.
If these socks work as well as many say they do, that could be a steal for anyone with chronic foot pain. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some PGA TOUR veterans rock these socks on the course, especially through the dog days of the season.
