AimPoint Leads To Perfect Mini Golf Shot

If you have trouble reading putts and saving strokes on the green, then you may want to look into the Aim Point method.

AimPoint is a very popular greens-reading method among your pros and amateurs, but I never expected to see it used on a mini golf course.

As best explained by Adam Scott, Max Homa, and others who have used it for success at the professional level, a golfer stands halfway between the hole and their ball. This is where the technique comes in.

The slope is measured by using your feet, feeling which way the green banks and to what extent. This takes years and years of practice to master and has been an effective method for accurately determining how many balls out from the hole you need to aim in order to make your putt.

Here’s a great explanation from 2013 Masters Champion Adam Scott. The slope is determined by feel and, depending on how many percent the slope is, that will determine how many fingers you use to determine your Aimpoint.

As previously mentioned, it is a great tool during a round of golf, but a recent video shows it can even be utilized during putt-putt.

This dude pulled it off perfectly! He found the slope all the way up the hill, into the bend to find the high point, and like magic, the ball fell down to the center tunnel for a hole-in-one. Not sure if the guy was messing around or if he was taking his indoor putt score that seriously.

All I know is that was an epic putt. Mark him down for a one!

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
