Arnold Palmer may be gone but his legacy lives on everywhere. Now, one of the golf giant’s most recognizable pieces of equipment is making a special appearance this upcoming week.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is coming up and many of Arnie’s pieces of memorabilia will be making an appearance in Orlando at Bay Hill Country Club. Of the memorabilia fans will have the opportunity to see at the annual event will be Palmer’s big, orange tractor.

If you’re of an older generation, you may remember the tractor from the Pennzoil ads that he was part of in the 1980s.

The patented orange tractor will be making a trip from Latrobe, Pennsylvania all the way down to Orlando this week. Built in 1947, the tractor is a relic from the Palmer family and has been on his course in Latrobe since the commercials first aired. Beyond being a show piece the tractor was even used by the course throughout the 80s.

But for those who are worried the tractor won’t return to Palmer’s hometown, there’s no need to panic. “Don’t worry, it’s coming back here,” Latrobe Country Club pro Matt Pellis said. “The tractor is among a number of items of Arnie’s memorabilia that will be on temporary display at the Arnold Palmer Invitational next week at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.,” Pellis said.

Outside of the tractor, there will be other Palmer items that will be available for viewing at the event. One of the other major items will be Palmer’s clubs that he used in high school. These are the same clubs that Arnie used in 1947 when he captured the state championship in Pennsylvania.

While it would be better to see Palmer in person, this display of the King’s memorabilia will add a nice fan aspect to the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Hopefully, this can become a normal thing for the event for years to come.
