BREAKING: Jon Rahm Wins the Memorial | New World No. 1
Pure domination.
While Jon Rahm brings home his 4th PGA Tour victory at the Memorial Tournament, he now becomes the new World No. 1. Rahm put on a clinic and continued to dominate the course while the rest of the players seemed to be holding on for dear life. He struggled for a stretch on the back 9, but capped off the victory with the shot of the week on 16…

Muirfield Village played as an absolute monster over the weekend; Jon kept his head down and continued to played great golf. Over the last year, his consistent play has been phenomenal to watch. It’s looking like Rham is peaking around the time to make a serious push at his first major victory in just a few short weeks at TPC Harding Park.
Tiger Woods struggled heavily on Friday, making the cut on the number. He was very open about his body not being in the best of shape after his round. Once finished his round on Sunday, Tiger said that he needs to get more competitive reps in the future. Hopefully, this means we won’t end up waiting months for him to play and see him back soon.
Matthew Fitzpatrick continues to be one of the best grinders on Tour. Fitz doesn’t let tough conditions get to him, and his round at Muirfield on Sunday proved that. His round of 68 was incredible! I’d be curious to know how much having Bones on the bag helped him.
Jason Day was able to battle through a tight back and ended up playing some really good golf. Physically, he wasn’t able to swing 100% (which I believe helped him this week). The key around Muirfield is accuracy and with a more controlled swing, Day was able to produce more high quality shots.
Tony Finau entered the round on Sunday with a chance to add his 2nd Tour victory to his resume. 3 bogeys and a triple just on his front side derailed any hope for that victory. The conditions were tough and it’s starting to look like Tony might not have the game to collect a wins when the pressure is on.
