Callaway 2022 Drivers Hit USGA Conforming List, 7 Possible Models
With the first PGA TOUR event of 2022 just days away, we can expect that all of the new, official 2022 gear will finally be seeing the light of day so we can start taking bets on who spent their R&D time wisely.
Among the new equipment we’ll see will be the new 2022 driver lineup. Earlier this morning, 7 different models of Callaway’s Rogue ST hit the USGA conforming list and they look good (albeit, in black and white):

As pictured, the new 2022 Rogue ST lineup consists of: the Rogue ST (Triple Diamond), the Rogue ST LS (Triple Diamond), Rogue ST MAX, Rogue ST MAX D, Rogue ST MAX Fast, Rogue ST MAX LS and Rogue ST S (Triple Diamond).
There is no indication if this is the complete lineup, or if additional models will be coming before the official launch.
Setting that aside, here are our thoughts on some of the visible features:
- Presumably, the Callaway naming system remains the same, so LS will stand for Low-Spin whereas MAX will stand for MAXimum forgiveness;
- Like we’ve previously noted, ALL of the Rogue ST’s feature what appears to be a redesigned Jailbreak A.I. Speed Frame that ditches the 4 rod design with 2 speed blades;
- ALL of the Rogue ST’s appear to feature a fixed rear-positioned weight, likely to promote increase MOI;
- ALL of the Rogue ST’s appear to also feature a carbon sole, likely to lower the center of gravity, promote launch and increase forgiveness;
- the Triple Diamonds—the Rogue ST (Triple Diamond), Rogue ST LS (Triple Diamond) and Rogue ST S (Triple Diamond)—ALL feature a forward-positioned weight, located between the slightly behind the Jailbreak A.I. Speed Frame; this is likely to lower launch and reduce spin, while sacrificing some forgivness;
- the MAX D and MAX Fast BOTH contain a heel-positioned weight that will likely promote a draw-biased ball flight;
- the MAX Fast is the only driver that appears to have a different sole finish (chrome vs. polished black); and
- the MAX, MAX D, MAX Fast and MAX LS all appear to have a square to slightly closed face orientation (draw/straight-bias) at address, whereas the ST (Triple Diamond), Rogue ST LS (Triple Diamond) appear to be slightly open (fade bias).
Confirmed lofts for each of the models are as follows:
- Rogue ST (Triple Diamond) – 8.5°, 9° and 10.5°;
- Rogue ST LS (Triple Diamond) – 8.5°, 9° and 10.5°;
- Rogue ST MAX – 9°, 10.5° and 12°;
- Rogue ST MAX D – 9°, 10.5° and 12°;
- Rogue ST MAX Fast – 9.5°, 10.5°, 11.5° and 12°;
- Rogue ST MAX LS – 9° and 10.5°; and
- Rogue ST S (Triple Diamond) – 7.5°, 9° and 10.5°.

In light of the foregoing, the ST S (Triple Diamond) stands to be the lowest launching model in the Rogue ST lineup.
Hopefully Callaway will announce final details about the new Rogue ST lineup soon, and Demo Models find their way to reputable fitters, like Club Champion, so the equipment testing can begin ASAP!
