Couple Arrested for Having Sex on South Carolina Golf Course

File this one under: living the dream.

According to The Herald of Rock Hill, South Carolina, police were called to the Tera Cay Golf Club around 7:30 p.m. to answer a complaint from a nearby resident. Looking on from his property, the resident noticed strange activity happening on the course’s eighth fairway. After thinking that it was a medical emergency, the patron grabbed his binoculars to check out the situation.

The man came to find that there wasn’t a medical emergency happening at all, in fact, nothing golf related was going on. To the surprise of the resident, the activity he was witnessing was a couple having sex in the middle of the fairway. This situation has definitely brought a new meaning to “scoring on the course.”

Once it was actually discovered what the two people were doing, police arrived to break them up and apparently had to tell the couple multiple times to get off of each other and get dressed. It seems like they were just trying to finish their round before dark. The 24-year old male and the 19-year old female were then arrested and for indecent exposure.

This event caps off an interesting month for golf around the country. Outside of this sex scandal in South Carolina, August has brought us several other interesting stories. In the month, there has also been an embezzling scheme that was uncovered at a course in Minnesota and there was also a huge brawl that took place earlier on the links in South Africa.

This story just goes to show that you never know what to expect when you go out to play a round of golf.
