Dustin Johnson, TaylorMade Make Shocking Announcement on Partnership
Dustin Johnson and TaylorMade have been together for 18 years, but their partnership is no more.
The two parted ways at the end of 2024 when DJ’s contract with TaylorMade expired, according to reports from Golf Magic and Golf, who confirmed with the OEM that the two were no longer involved.

Johnson first signed with TaylorMade in 2007 when he turned professional. He won 24 PGA TOUR titles and two Major Championships with TaylorMade gear, and used their equipment to reign at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for 135 weeks: the third-most all-time.
The relationship seemed on the ropes in 2022 when Johnson left the PGA TOUR to go to LIV Golf. Although he still wore the company’s gear and used their clubs, he was absent from marketing campaigns that he was commonly featured in, something that seemed to hint the end was coming.
He was still using TaylorMade’s Qi35 driver this past weekend at LIV Golf Riyadh. He has since been using different putters, as seen in a recent collaboration with Phil Mickelson and Grant Horvat.
Johnson has not been himself since leaving the PGA TOUR and is perhaps one of the most up-front players about wanting to play less golf. It was one of his biggest reasons for leaving the PGA TOUR, as he enjoys other hobbies like fishing.
Adidas also ended their sponsorship with Johnson before last season, bringing closure to a 15-year relationship between the two.
