EQUIPMENT: Full Season Review Of The Cleveland Frontline Elevado Putter
At the very end of the 2019 season I got my hands-on Cleveland’s Frontline Elevado putter. Because I’m in the Midwest, by the time I opened it up out of the box the golf season was over. Because of this I was only able to share my first impressions of this putter at that time. It wasn’t until the end of March of 2020 before I put this putter into play on some grass.

During the 2019 season I worked on my putting virtually every single day. I would practice short putts up to 6 feet every night in my apartment. Full disclosure, I did not practice my putting the same way in 2020. This is important to note because it will explain some numbers. The concept behind the Frontline Elevado putter is that the ball still goes straight, even on mishits. The Frontline has two Metal Injection Molded Tungsten weights in the face. The face weights bring the CG forward and, as a result, give you more accuracy on the green. Frontline putters have 2 Metal Injection Molded Tungsten face weights, totaling up to 47.3g. These weights move the center of gravity from the rear to the face of each putter. This proved to be accurate time and time again. With honestly very little practice I was able to lag putts close and if I missed the center of the face, my ball would finish right around the hole for easy tap in putts.

Although I practiced very little on my putting, I saw minimal drop-off in my putting. This leads me to believe that had I spent the time to practice putting like I had in the previous year, I would have seen substantial improvement. I’m not a player who has a great proximity to the hole. I attack most greens by hitting to the middle and planning on a two putt. I would have one or two three putts per 9 holes but overall, I was very impressed with this putter.
Personal results
During the 2020 season I had the goal of under 30 putts for an 18-hole round and under 18 putts for 9 holes. Hard to do this without practicing so I put myself in a bad position from the get-go. Regardless of this I was able to accomplish the 9-hole goal of having 15 total putts over 9 holes. The biggest part of that was I had zero three putts and I made a 41-foot birdie putt.
By far, the longest birdie putt I’ve ever made. My daughter was next to me and I called my shot. Hit my spot and the pace was absolutely perfect. Turn to look at my daughter and noticed she was walking back to the cart completely unimpressed. pic.twitter.com/IPWCAy2dX2

I just missed my 18 hole goal with the lowest round totaling 31 putts. The Frontline putter proved time and time again that the ball rolls down the line you pick, regardless if you hit it in the center of the face or a little off the toe.

The Cleveland Frontline putters are money. Plain and simple. They look great at address and the results they provide are more than pleasing. Being able to have a successful season on the greens in relation to the work I put into that part of my game speaks volume. The Elevado model that I am currently gaming is available for around $200. If you want to do your game a favor and start making more putts, you need to invest in this putter.
