FIRST LOOK: FootJoy’s Pro/SLX ft. PWR TRAX and StratoFoam
FootJoy has its newest iteration of the Pro|SL set for release, and fitted with PWR TRAX and StratoFoam technology, it is surely one of the most advanced and comfortable the company has ever released.
This year, the next evolution of the lineup with the Pro/SLX and Pro/SLX Carbon will hit shelves, and will incorporate the most advanced materials and construction processes to help advance your golf game with increases in traction, comfort, and control.
Traction
The PRO/SLX features a new system called PWR TRAX, which aims to increase traction. Featuring a 3D X-Wing that is molded, it engages naturally via swing forces and redistributes energy to the perimeter of the shoe. It is complemented by the Race Trak Outsole, which increases the overall traction footprint.

It is for more than just the swing, though. It also helps with multiple on-course conditions and around-the-course walking needs.
Comfort
StratoFoam is featured in the midsole to help with comfort and and absorb and return energy to your feet with every step taken. The ankle also provides stability and support with a 3D Molded Collar, which provides supreme comfort, alongside a reliable and consistent fit.

Control
Stability is provided by the 3D X-Wing that engages the ground as you swing. FTF+ foam surrounds the StratoFoam midsole for more stability. There is also an exposed heel stabilizer and side wall TPU wrap that controls lateral and upper movement.

Sahith Theegala, Sungjae Im, Corey Connors, and other pros have already used the shoes in practice rounds.
Patrick Trubiano, Director of Product Management for FootJoy’s Footwear division, said:
“We know the game is evolving and we need to make sure that we are evolving with a modern golf shoe for the modern golfer. Pro/SLX will feature cutting edge, never-before-seen performance innovation that will truly advance your game.”
Available for $219.99, the Pro/SLX and Pro/SLX Carbon come in a variety of colors, and are available at FootJoy.com.
