Ghost Golf Anyday Patron Stand Bag Review: A Special Edition That Stands Out
When it comes to golf bags, I have always been picky.
I had the same OGIO cart and stand bags for over eight years before making a switch, so I needed something that checked all the right boxes. Storage, durability, ease of use, and overall quality matter when you expect a bag to last. Eventually I landed on the Ghost Golf Anyday 5.0 stand bag and after well over a year of us, I can say it delivers in almost every way.
But the Patrons Only edition? That takes things to a whole new level.

This is a bit of a hybrid review as I now own both the standard and Patrons Only bag. Therefore I will be blending my feedback on the use and performance of the bag, while featuring the limited edition Patrons Only Colorway.
Initial Impressions
Right out of the box, this bag feels premium. The materials are high quality, easy to clean, and built to last. I have heard the comparisons to Vessel, but I have never owned one, so I can only judge what is in front of me.

The fit and finish are excellent, and the bag has a modern look without trying too hard. The Patrons Only edition builds on that with a stunning color scheme and details that make it feel even more special.
The tan base with green and yellow accents is subtle but meaningful. Unlike some special edition bags that go overboard, this one keeps things classy.

The azalea-lined pockets and perforated leather detailing are small but impactful touches that make this bag feel like more than just another release.

Some golfers have mentioned that Ghost Golf puts its name and logo in a few too many places. It is noticeable, but it does not bother me. It is not oversized or over the top, and as a newer brand, I get why they want to build recognition.
Storage and functionality
One of my favorite things about this bag is how well-designed it is. Ghost Golf clearly thought about how golfers actually use their bags and made sure everything has a purpose.

There is no full-length pocket, which I thought might be an issue, but the way the storage is laid out makes up for it.
- Plenty of pocket space, even without a full-length pocket
- Magnetic pocket for quick access
- Cooling pocket that actually keeps drinks cold
- Soft, full-length dividers that work well with oversized grips
- Carbon fiber legs that feel sturdy on any surface
- Solid handles and clips that make it easy to move around
- Rain hood that is well-designed and actually functional
The biggest change for me with the Patrons Only version is that it features a seven-way top instead of a 14-way.

I was a longtime believer in 14-way dividers, but I wanted to see if the seven-way setup would be something I liked. So far, I have enjoyed the slightly lighter feel and the way clubs sit in the bag. It is different, but I do not think there is a wrong choice between the two options.
Another thing I appreciate is that the bag comes with both a single and double strap. If you like to carry, you can set it up the way you prefer, and if you are using a cart or trolley, it stays secure without any hassle.

Performance and durability
After a year of use, this bag still looks great. The materials are high quality, and it has held up to a lot of rounds without showing much wear. In addition, the material is very easy to clean. I have played in every condition possible with this bag and it still looks like new.

The legs are solid, and the bag stands well on any surface, whether it is a flat tee box or an uneven slope. The only minor complaint I have is that the legs do not extend quite as far as I would like, but it has not caused any major issues.

The one real downside is the weight. It is not overly heavy, but if you are carrying 18 holes regularly, you will feel it by the end of the round. I would not say it is a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. On the flip side, the added weight seems to come from the materials and stability, so it is a trade-off that makes sense.
The full Patrons Only collection
There are a few features in this limited edition of the bag that make it feel even more special.
- Azalea-lined pockets add a signature touch that connects to the history of Augusta.
- Limited edition ribbon straps for the zippers.
- Custom yellow zipper pulls provide a stylish contrast that elevates the design.
- The interior Ghost Golf logo lining includes the same azalea pattern found in the pockets and bottom of the bag.
- Perforated leather sections with yellow stitching offer a luxurious feel without being over the top.
- The overall weight balance feels slightly improved over the standard Anyday bag due to the seven-way top.
Beyond the stand bag, Ghost Golf also offers a full lineup of accessories to complete the look.
- GT14 Patrons Only Bag, a cart-friendly version with enhanced storage and a 14-way top
- Three full featured headcover sets (Two leather and one knit)
- Utility pouches in tan and green
- Mallet and blade putter covers
- A 50-pack of golf tees in the Patrons Only color scheme
Each piece is designed with the same thoughtful details, making this collection truly stand out.

What could be better
No product is perfect, and while I really like this bag, there are a couple of things I would tweak.
- It is a bit on the heavier side for a stand bag. If you walk every round, you might notice it more.
- The price is on the higher end, but given how well it has held up, I cannot say it is not worth it.

Wrapping up
After a year of use, I can confidently say this is one of the best stand bags I have had. It is well-made, smartly designed, and durable. The Patrons Only version adds extra style and makes this bag feel even more special.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely, to the extent that I have! It checks almost every box for me, and even with a couple of small gripes, it is a bag I would recommend to anyone looking for a high-end stand bag. Ghost Golf has done a great job with this one, and if this is what they are bringing to the market, I am excited to see what they do next.
