The pro golf world is using every platform they have to pay tribute to Grayson Murray, and many are working hard to make his legacy one of positivity and taking care of each other.

Saturday was a day on the PGA Tour that everyone participating – from the golfers and caddies to course officials and the broadcast crew – will always remember as being so difficult to navigate.

Murray’s parents released a statement on Sunday, where they shared that their son died by suicide

On Sunday, perhaps the most poignant remarks came from Harry Higgs, who had just won his second straight Korn Ferry Tour tournament.

“I would challenge everybody here, and I’m going to do this myself as well. Each day, say something nice to someone you love, and also make it a point to say something nice to somebody you do not even know,” Higgs said to everyone gathered after the event.

“The world is a very difficult and only getting more difficult. Everybody here could be a difference. The difference.”

Kip Henley, a caddie who worked with Murray on the Korn Ferry Tour, posted a string of messages on X.

In his posts, Henley implied that their relationship didn’t end well, and he regretted not reaching out.

This year, Murray had won the Sony Open in January and made the cut at the Masters and PGA Championship. The 30-year-old was very public about his struggles with anxiety, depression, and alcoholism over the years.

In the statement released by his parents, they closed by saying, “Please honor Grayson by being kind to one another. If that becomes his legacy, we could ask for nothing else.”

It appears the golf community will be trying their best to honor their fellow golfer.
