Youth on Course Announces Legendary Venues for 2024 100 Hole Hike
The nonprofit organization Youth on Course provides young golfers with access to life-changing opportunities through the sport of golf. It recently announced its legendary venue lineup for the 2024 100 Hole Hike, including stops at Pinehurst and Pebble Beach.
Over $6,500 has been raised so far this year by players who choose to help young players get rounds for $5 or less. Founded in 2006, Youth on Course has nearly 200,000 members and has provided more than 1.2 million subsidized rounds of golf for players worldwide.
The Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike was a 2011 creation by Jim Colton and was officially implemented by the organization in 2015.
The 2024 rendition of the 100 Hole Hike may be the best one yet, and features eight incredible courses for its series of National Hikes:
- Aug. 26 – Golden Gate Park Golf Course – San Francisco, Calif.
- Sept. 9 – Corica Park Golf Course – Alameda, Calif.
- Sept. 13 – Mariners Point Golf Center – Foster City, Calif.
- Sept. 16 – 3’s Greenville Golf & Grubhouse – Greenville, S.C.
- Sept. 23 – Maidstone Club Short Course – Long Island, N.Y.
- Oct. 3 – Northwood Golf Club – Sonoma, Calif.
- Oct. 14 – Topgolf Los Angeles – El Segundo, Calif.
- Nov. 7 – Butler Pitch & Putt Par 3 – Austin, Texas
Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck commented on the initiative of the 100 Hole Hike, and how it has helped provide affordable rounds to players across the country:
“The Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike is a key driver to expand access to the sport. Since its inception, we’ve raised millions of dollars that directly go to subsidizing rounds of golf for youth. We’re grateful to partner with such venerable golf destinations like Pinehurst Resort, Pebble Beach Golf Resorts, and new for this season, Cabot Cape Breton. This year we’ve rolled out new ways to participate, including a team format, that allows fundraisers to play only a portion of the 100 holes, creating a fun competition and a less physically intensive way to be involved. We look forward to partnering with golfers across the U.S. and Canada to increase access to the sport.”
Legendary Stops
Among the most notable stops on this year’s 100 Hole Hike are The Cradle at Pinehurst, The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton, and The Hay at Pebble Beach Resort.
The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort

Pinehurst Resort President Tom Pashley said:
“The Cradle was built to celebrate the fun of the game of golf and to be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. The 100 Hole Hike plays an important role in ensuring future generations have the same opportunities to grow in the game. We’re excited for The Cradle to be such a big part in helping make the game more accessible to all who want to play it.”
The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton

This 10-hole Par 3 course is perched on the highest point of Cabot Cliffs, giving incredible and world-class views while raising money for a great cause. Already home to two of the Top 100 golf courses in the world, The Nest opened in 2020.
The Hay at Pebble Beach Resort

Pebble Beach is known by nearly every golfer, regardless of skill level, but this offering gives people the opportunity to play one of its properties for a good cause.
David Stivers, CEO of Pebble Beach Company, said the partnership with Youth on Course is an honor:
“The Hay has become a focal point of our property that presents a welcoming atmosphere for beginners, and challenging shot-making for advanced players. Partnering with Youth on Course is a great source of pride for us as we support their mission of opening doors for young people both on and off the course.”
If you cannot make it to one of the on-course walks this year, you can still get involved. Check out some other ways to help Youth on Course here.
