Golfer Wins Car, But Was Denied The Prize
Golf has always been a game of integrity. However, things went awry after Austin Clagett made an ace on the 10th hole and was denied the prize. The reward for the ace was the keys to a brand new 2022 Ford F-150 4×4 Supercrew.
A news release said:
“When it was Austin Clagett’s turn to try to get a hole-in-one, Austin Clagett hit the ball, and it went in the hole on the first attempt… Afterward, Morrilton Country Club and Jay Hodge Ford of Morrilton refused to give Austin Clagett the keys or transfer him the title to the 2022 Ford F-150 4×4 Supercrew.”
You may ask why was Clagett not allowed to claim the prize?
@Ford @FordTrucks You guys better get this fixed because word is spreading and dealerships are under your guidance
Without our knowledge my ass, they had been advertising this FOR TWO MONTHS

Words from Ford Car Dealer
Apparently, according to Jay Hodge Ford, Morrilton Country Club promoted the truck without prior knowledge nor the proper time to get insurance for the truck.

Words From Austin Clagett’s Lawyer
No matter what the story is Austin Clagett wasn’t going to let this go and took action against both parties. Clagett’s lawyer had this to say about the scenario.
“This is about doing what is right. Mr. Clagett lived up to his end of the deal when he got the hole-in-one and now Morrilton Country Club and Jay Hodge Ford of Morrilton want to crawfish out of the deal. If they didn’t want to pay up when Mr. Clagett got a hole-in-one, they shouldn’t have offered the deal.”
The lawsuit is valued at the truck’s MSRP of $53,000 in addition to any legal fees, according to sources. There has been no word from the golf course.
Nonetheless, congrats to Austin Clagett on his hole-in-one despite all the extra drama that could have never been anticipated.
