Hero World Challenge Field Announced, Void of Tiger Woods
The field for the Hero World Challenge in Albany, the Bahamas, has been announced by Tournament Host Tiger Woods, whose name is not on the list of those who will compete at the event, which is slated for Thursday, November 30, to Sunday, December 3, 2023.
The Hero World Challenge has been hosted by Woods for several years and features a jam-packed lineup of some of the world’s best golfers.

The 2023 field features nine players that have a total of 13 Major Championships but is comprised of 20 total golfers, 19 of which have been announced so far.

- Max Homa
- Matt Fitzpatrick
- Brian Harman
- Wyndham Calrk
- Jordan Spieth
- Cameron Young
- Keegan Bradley
- Collin Morikawa
- Tony Finau
- Sam Burns
- Jason Day
- Sepp Straka
- Will Zalatoris
- Rickie Fowler (Tournament Exemption)
- Justin Thomas (Tournament Exemption)
- TBA Tournament Exemption
The field features eight of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
Woods, who has normally played at the event, is not on the list, and is still dealing with lingering issues related to plantar fasciitis, which forced him to withdraw from the 2023 Masters after making the cut.
