Hovland Takes Advantage of Proximity to Orlando’s PGA Tour Superstore for Bay Hill Final Round
With it being one of the tourist capitals of the United States, there’s just about everything in Orlando, Florida.
Among the list of large stores and outlets is a PGA Tour Superstore, which came in handy for Viktor Hovland at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
From the #PGATOURSuperstore to the final group at @APinv 👀@PGATOUR pros can’t always be 2.2 miles away from a @PGATSS when something breaks (ahem, @ShaneLowryGolf) – but we were happy to come in clutch for Viktor Hovland on Saturday with a new 3-wood.https://t.co/VLkk3I5G3r

Hovland crushed a 311-yard shot with his 3-wood on the 10th hole Saturday, prompting caddie Shay Knight to inspect the club.
“I looked at the sole and went, ‘What the hell?’ I brought it to his attention right away. First time in my 16 years I’ve ever seen anything like that.”
Knight went on to say that a rules official told him he could replace the club, but he didn’t have another one for Hovland.
After a couple of calls to TaylorMade, it was discovered that the PGA Tour Superstore, just 2.2 miles away from Bay Hill Club & Lodge, had the club with the exact specs that Hovland uses. Knight paid a visit Saturday evening, and the club wound up in Hovland’s bag on Sunday.
Hovland’s week at the API also included a hole-in-one on Friday.
