Is Tiger Switching to Miura Golf Clubs?

This may be fact or just simply a rumor, but regardless it’s phenomenal press for Miura Golf and exciting news for Tiger Woods fans.

Recently we learned that Nike is planning to leave the golf equipment business; an unfortunate turn of events that we may see ripple throughout this great sport.

Golf fans haven’t seen Tiger swing a golf club in over a year and now his comeback will be a little more complicated.  After playing Nike clubs for almost his entire career, tiger will be forced to change equipment manufactures and let’s just say he doesn’t need to go shopping.

According to Notah Begay, golf analyst and great friend to Woods, Tiger has golf manufactures sending tons of golf equipment to his Jupiter, FL home.  In a recent interview on Golf Channel, Begay was said,

“I walked into his dining room and it was like going into a PGA [Tour] Superstore now that Nike’s equipment line no longer exists.  Every single manufacturer had sent equipment in there, and he’s trying a variety of different things, trying to get a sense of where he’s going to go from this point on.”

Obviously Tiger and other Nike club Tour pros, as well as their agents, knew this day was going to come probably for a few months now so the question is, what are guys like Rory and Tiger going to do?

Well, rumor has it Tiger has been in talks with Miura Golf, a Japanese club manufacturer with top notch golf equipment.  Just as the king of putters is Scotty Cameron, some say the Master of club crafting is none other than Katsuhiro Mauira.

Reporters caught up with McIlroy to ask him if he’s been enjoying all of the early holiday gifts coming to his house and he responded saying:

“I haven’t been home, but apparently my parents’ house has been inundated with golf equipment from different manufacturers.  I haven’t asked for it, but it’s there.”

Most fans won’t care much about what clubs these pros switch too, but believe me if Tiger signs with Miura, it will come with a hefty price tag for amateurs (if they want to be like Tiger).  However, with the price tag comes some high quality crafted golf equipment.  Either way, Wilson Pro Staff, Adams Golf, Taylormade, or Miura, I can say I just want to see Tiger back on on the course soon.
