Jack’s Tournament is once again set up for an electric finish on Sunday, if the weather cooperates. There are five players within two strokes of the lead heading into the final round. These players have their games firing on all cylinders and it will be exciting coming down the stretch.

Tiger Woods had another frustrating round with his putter on Saturday. “I know I shot a 68 today but again that was probably the highest score I could have shot today,” said Woods. Much like last round Wood’s ball striking was outstanding while his putting was far from it.  Woods said, “I hit the ball well enough that shooting in the low 60s could have been pretty easy if I had just putted normal.”

The scary thing is that Woods could actually be playing at an extremely higher level. “I could have easily shot 62 or 63 yesterday and could have easily shot 63 or 64, for not doing much, today.”

Woods went out in a blistering five under 31 with a sliding putt for eagle on five followed by three more birdies. Woods said “I played really, really well. I play beautifully actually.” His iron game remained strong. Woods said, “I had total control what I was doing out there but I just couldn’t finish it off.” His flat stick began to let him down when he three putted on 16 and missed a short par putt on 18. When asked about his putting woes Woods said, “I’m definitely not taking advantage of how well I am hitting it.”

After a four under round of 68 Woods is only five shots behind the leaders heading into the final round at Jack’s place. Woods remains hopeful saying, “I’m in position where if I shoot another good round like I have the last two days I’ve got a chance.”

Bryson DeChambeau has the solo lead heading into Sunday. He said, “I’ve played great, obviously, I’m ecstatic about where I am.” DeChambeau turned in a bogey free six under round of 66. He attributed his success to his improved putting DeChambeau said, “By far I’m putting as good as I have in my life. I think I’m rolling it really well and have a great chance for tomorrow.”

19 year old Joaquin Niemann sits T2 and just one stroke back from DeChambeau. Niemann continues to show that he is able to withstand the pressure and perform at a high level against the world’s best. His playing partner Kyle Stanley said, “He’s really good for 19 years old. Obviously he doesn’t play like a 19 year old. Nothing really seemed to rattle him really. I was pretty impressed.”

Stanley is also T2 after shooting a two under 70. He said that this event is “special” and “has a different feel.”

Woods did not seem phased by Niemann. Woods said that having such young players high on the scoreboard and in contention was “nothing new” and “not surprising.”

Patrick Cantlay is one stroke back from DeChambeau thanks to a six under round of 66. He had two eagles on Saturday including a hole in one on the par three eighth hole. When asked about his confidence level going into a final round while in contention he said, “I feel when I get in contention I know I can seal the deal and play well under pressure.”

My first love was baseball. I made the Junior Varsity Team my Freshman year of High School. That following Summer my Dad brought me to play my first round of Golf. I immediately fell in love with the game and became obsessed. I found myself playing nine holes before I had to be on the field for warmups. Golf was always on my mind. I began to follow the World’s Best and learn the mechanics and fundamentals of the game. I became obsessed with getting better. As my interests as a player in the game increased so did my interest as a fan. I began to religiously follow the PGA Tour and the best players in the world. I was memorized by their perfect swings and outstanding short games. This was just the beginning of my obsession with the beautiful game of Golf.
