Jon Rahm is currently the number two golfer in the world according to the Official World Golf Rankings. He has won 13 times professionally including 6 wins on the PGA TOUR, 7 wins on the DP World Tour, and 1 major championship, the 2021 U.S. Open.

Some would say he is well on his way to a very successful career, but there is one thing that Rahm is jealous of, Tiger Woods’ relationship with Justin Thomas.

On Tuesday when asked if Woods has given him any advice, Rahm said:

“I think there’s only one man in this field (who gets) advice from Tiger… Because I’ve asked before and I get nothing. So, you might need to ask Justin Thomas.”

“I remember asking him at East Lake the year he won: Before, we were on the putting green during the practice round, like ‘Hey man, any tips for Bermuda?’ This and that. He turned around and just said, ‘It’s all about feel,’ and just kept going… I asked him at Albany once about chipping into the grain. He’s like, ‘You just got to be shallow’ … Meanwhile, I turn around and JT’s there with him; he’s getting a whole dissertation on what to do.”

We all knew that JT and Tiger had a great relationship. They get along really well and the Woods family often hangs out with the Thomas family. It’s almost like they’re one big happy family.

It seems that Rahm is jealous that he isn’t in JT’s shoes but honestly, who wouldn’t be? So many players on TOUR now grew up idolizing Tiger and would give anything to have half the relationship with him that JT does.

Rahm did say though that he has gotten advice from Phil Mickelson about Augusta National so maybe the JT vs Rahm rivalry will pick up like vintage Tiger vs Phil!

Do you think Rahm is out of line here?
