Jon Rahm Outlines What He Expects from LIV Golf Merger with PGA TOUR
Jon Rahm outlined what he expected from the LIV Golf and PGA TOUR merger, which would come from the latter landing to terms with the Saudi PIF.
Rahm has been open about the fact that he misses playing in some PGA TOUR tournaments in the past. While many players are more than okay with just playing in the Majors with their former playing mates, Rahm admitted when he first defected from the TOUR that several tournaments would be ones he missed.

Now, he is revealing what he wants from a merger between the PGA TOUR and the PIF, which would perhaps bring professional golf back together:
“Just one that allows us to play freely between tours and enjoy the game of golf. For example, in my case, play Torrey and American Express in January, and then continue to enjoy the fact of being a DP World Tour member and play some events in the fall as well without any problems.”
This would make things difficult for the PGA TOUR players because they would likely not want to go play LIV Tournaments. This creates an interesting scenario and is likely why the merger terms are taking so long to agree upon.
PGA TOUR players have requested that LIV players give back some of their massive signing bonuses.
There is not much chance of that happening, so what the sides can agree on will be interesting, to say the least.
