Jordan Spieth’s 2015 Green Jacket Still Doesn’t Fit Him
The most coveted prize in all of golf is arguably the Green Jacket at Augusta National. Players dream of winning The Masters and donning that green jacket but for one superstar, the fit hasn’t been great.
Jordan Spieth has been dominating the PGA TOUR ever since he entered the professional ranks. He won his first Masters back in 2015 after putting on an incredible showing, tearing up Augusta with a final score of 18-under par, beating Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson by four strokes. After leading every round, Spieth was able to put on the green jacket for the first time but there was one problem.
If you look closely, the jacket that Spieth put on after winning is really big for him. This is to be expected since Augusta has to have a jacket ready for anyone who can win but Spieth, the issue is that two years later the jacket is still to big.
The reason why Jordan hasn’t had the Green Jacket tailored to fit him is because Spieth simply doesn’t trust anyone to tailor the priceless jacket. Instead, he just keeps wearing the jacket that is way too big for his arms.

“I never got it tailored, so it’s huge,” Spieth recently said in an interview. “I never trusted anybody, never wanted anyone to go do it. I didn’t give them my size originally. I wore the one off the green that day, and I never gave it back to them to tailor or anything.”
Spieth’s size woes are not just restricted to the green jacket either, as he has been to other events that he was unprepared to dress for. In fact, Spieth had to go to Justin Thomas’ Polo account to find proper attire for this year’s Presidents Cup. To be fair to Jordan, he is only 24 years old and most men that age have absolutely no idea what size jacket they should be wearing.
While it may be funny now, Spieth really needs to find a good tailor because I have a feeling that 2015 won’t be the last time that he will need to be fitted for a green jacket.
