Journalist Rick Reilly Interjects Himself Into Patrick Reed/Brandel Chamblee Feud, Shares Derogatory Nickname for Reed
Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion and a new member of LIV Golf, sued Golf Channel and its commentator Brandel Chamblee last week over what he said was a conspiracy between those parties and the PGA Tour to defame him and his character. Reed is seeking over $750 million in damages.

The reaction to the suit has not been kind to the nine-time PGA Tour winner. One defamation lawyer said that the lawsuit has zero legal merit.
Rick Reilly, a longtime golf writer and former columnist at Sports Illustrated and ESPN didn’t hold back on his reaction.
I agree Patrick Reed! That’s so mean for Brandel Chamblee to point out all the times you’ve been caught bending the rules. Or to mention how you won’t speak to your family. Or how your nickname on the #PGATOUR is Table For One. People shouldn’t bring stuff like that up!

Ouch!
Some people replied to Reilly’s post thinking he went a little too far to bring Reed’s family into it and the not-too-flattering nickname of “Party for One.”
No word on if Reed will be adding Reilly to his lawsuit, but there seems to be some vitriol towards the 32-year-old. We’ll see if the LIV tour will be any friendlier toward him.
