NEW: Lamkin Releases New Additions to Its SONAR Grip Line
Today Lamkin announced the official release of two new grip styles to its popular SONAR grip line.
The new SONAR TOUR and SONAR WRAP grips add new and unique options to the already well-established feel and all-weather performance of the SONAR grip family.

Both of them come with the Lamkin’s proprietary Fingerprint technology and Genesis material. Fingerprint technology distributes intricate and densely spaced patterns throughout the grip’s surface. This allows the grip to simultaneously be smooth and comfortable to the touch while still providing a high-level of grip traction. The patent-pending Genesis material provides a slightly softer feel than traditional rubber and an unmatched durability compared to other grip materials.
The SONAR TOUR grips were actually designed in collaboration with Justin Rose, a Lamkin Tour Ambassador. The grips feature omni-directional grip traction and a firmer durometer material to help control torsion under higher swing speeds. The TOUR grips also have a unique finishing process that preserves the super-tacky surface feel.

As for the SONAR WRAP grips, they include much of the same technology as the TOUR grips, but with the look and feel of a wrap grip. The WRAP grips include an ergonomic “Progressive Skive”, with fluctuating spiral dimensions based on grip size. The grips are available in Standard+ and Mid Size+ variations.
Last year I reviewed the full line of Lamkin grips and fell in love with the SONARs. So I can tell you from personal experience how great these grips are. And after a full year of use, there is little to no wear on them. The only reason I’m even considering replacing them is simply because the new SONAR WRAPs look and feel amazing.

First, I love the look of a wrap grip. And at the PGA Show I was able to literally get my hands on both of the new styles of grips.
If you want a lot of feel, then the new TOURs are made just for you. But, for me, there’s something about a nice wrap grip that I just love. And these new Lamkin’s are actually better than a traditional wrap grip. They have a much better tackiness and feel to them than other wraps I’ve tried. And I already know they’ll be far more durable than any other grip I’ve had on my clubs just based on how well my SONARs have held up this past year.
