We’ve heard of some nine-figure signing bonuses given to golfers like Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson to join the LIV Golf circuit, but Greg Norman finally put a dollar amount on the figure that Tiger Woods turned down to join the league.

Speaking on FOX News on Monday, LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman said that the offer was made to Woods before he joined the league, but from what he understood, it was in the $700 to $800 million range.

“Look, Tiger is a needle-mover, right?” Norman said to FOX. “So, of course you are going to look at the best of the best. So they had originally approached Tiger before I became CEO. So, yes, that number is somewhere in that neighborhood.”

While in Scotland for the Open Championship last month, Woods made pointed remarks toward LIV Golf and the PGA Tour players who defected.

“I disagree with it,” Woods said of the high-profile golfers that have joined the new circuit. “I think that what they’ve done is they’ve turned their back on what has allowed them to get in this position.”

Speaking of Greg Norman, Woods said, “Greg has done some things that I don’t think is in the best interest of our game.”

It’s believed that Mickelson got $200 million to sign with LIV, Johnson got $150 million, and Bryson DeChambeau picked up $125 million.
