Our Big YouTube Golf Day Announcement

BIG YOUTUBE GOLF DAY ANNOUNCEMENT!

We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be participating in the first ever YouTube Golf Day, hosted by the man himself, Mr. Rick Shiels. The event will go down on May 6th at Formby Hall in England and the proceeds of the day will benefit Prostate Cancer UK.

Yep, Golficity is headed to England!

Rick Shiels must of had a ‘Field of Dreams’ moment and heard voices telling him “If you build, they will come.”  Well, Rick built it … and we’re going. In fact, a lot of YouTubers with the golf bug will be there, and it’s all for a great cause.

So what is it?

YouTube Golf Day is a golf tournament hosted by golf YouTuber Rick Shiels to benefit Prostate Cancer UK.  The event will feature a lot of big name golf vloggers and other YouTube personalities and will be held on May 6th in Northwest England.   

Formby Hall Golf Resort will be the venue for the day and the winner will be crowned as “The Best Golfer on YouTube.”

Frank and I wanted to knock the rust off one cold Friday afternoon in March so we headed over to Crystal Springs despite the forecast looking dark and grim.   

With the wind chill, we were starring down 32 degrees and 20+ mph winds on a water logged course with shaggy greens.

With little time to prepare for the England event, we needed time to simulate some on-course golf shots. We braved the elements and dug deep (literally) to get this one in.  

If you’re going to be in the area of Formby Hall on May 6th and would like to spectate at the event make sure to get your tickets here.

In a recent video Rick stressed the point that the tournament will not be open to the public (to prevent over-crowding) so you’ll need a ticket to get in. But don’t worry, all of the proceeds from ticket sales go directly to benefit the charity we’re all playing for that day.

Wish us luck…we’re going to need it!
