Update: 12:11 p.m. – Panther National confirmed its partnership with Tesla for Powerwall and Solar is on hold.

Panther National, a course in Palm Beach Gardens designed by Justin Thomas and Jack Nicklaus, has officially opened.

Last week, the official ribbon cutting took place, opening the course as it has been in development for several years.

Nicklaus said (via Golfweek):

“From the start, the vision was clear – to create a golf experience unlike any other found in South Florida. Every opportunity to design a golf course brings challenges, but in the case of Panther National, uniqueness triumphs. You won’t find any golf course remotely close to it in South Florida.”

Nicklaus hit the ceremonial first tee shot at the course. Recently, the Golden Bear detailed how golf had become unenjoyable to him because of his lack of mobility. He hadn’t swung a club since his ceremonial tee shot as an Honorary Starter at Augusta and the Masters in April.
