A three-member panel is hearing testimony this week before deciding on the fate of LIV Golf pros in DP World Tour events, and some members of LIV are in London to testify in person.

Lee Westwood plans to speak in person on LIV’s behalf, and Patrick Reed has joined him, making the 3,000-mile trip from Saudi Arabia after taking part in the PIF Saudi Invitational tournament on the Asian Tour this past weekend.

Reed told The Times:

“I am in London to testify in person to show my respect for the honorable panel of judges and because of the importance of this proceeding not only for me, an honorary life member of the DP World Tour, [but] all LIV players and the game of golf in general.”

Reed and many other LIV Golfers played on the DP World Tour as recently as two weeks ago in the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. The former Masters winner made headlines with his antics on the driving range with Rory McIlroy and finished second to his PGA Tour rival in the tournament.

The hearing was brought on after a British court sided with LIV members Ian Poulter, Adrian Otaegui, and Justin Harding after they challenged the DP World Tour’s three-event suspension and fines levied after they played in the inaugural LIV Golf event in London.

What is unclear is whether the DP World Tour will issue indefinite suspensions like the PGA Tour has on those who have joined LIV Golf if the independent panel rules in favor of the European tour.

The hearing, which is taking place behind closed doors, is expected to wrap up on Friday, with a decision expected in around three weeks, according to a source.
