Payne Stewart’s Masters Fits Remain Undefeated
As Augusta kicks into gear, it seems fitting to look back at the Masters style of the legendary Payne Stewart. As years pass since the iconic life of Stewart was cut short way too early, his style contributions to the golf world continue to resonate.
Known for his flashy outfits comprised of wild colors, knickers, high socks, and an ivy cap golf hat, Payne Stewart brought his A-game to The Masters.

In 1987, Payne brought out the pink knickers, white shirt, pink bow tie, and white ivy cap. This classic fit screams easter pastels and greens in regulation.

The 1996 Masters saw Payne offer an elegant tribute to Bobby Jones. Outfitted in gray knickers, a white collared shirt, vibrant tie, a back cap, and white shoes with a black toe cap.

Stewart wore a tuxedo once for the Masters Par 3 contest. Once told by his father that he had to wear loud clothing to stand out, this example takes it to a classy level that Ian Poulter couldn’t duplicate.
