Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers Golf Club, one of the LIV Golf teams, has a new look to its logo after a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by an Argentine company nearly got ugly.

In June, Cool Brands Supply, an Argentine corporation, filed a federal lawsuit in New Jersey against the HyFlyers for trademark infringement. The brand claimed it was incredibly close to Fallen Footwear’s logo.

Cool Brands Supply spokespeople said that the HyFlyer’s logo was “not just reckless and inexplicable — it is willful infringement and unfair competition,” according to a report from ESPN.

Eventually, attorneys representing Cool Brands Supply commented:

“The similarities between the two marks, particularly when used on clothing, are striking, and are confusing consumers and causing damage to Plaintiff’s senior mark and brand. Plaintiff previously demanded that Defendants cease use of their infringing logo, and they refused.”

It appears the Mickelson-led team has listened to the advice after initally refusing.

As a result of the lawsuit, the HyFlyers obliged and developed a new look, which is different from the previous logo used. The HyFlyers unveiled the new look on X on Wednesday:

The HyFlyers team includes Captain Phil Mickelson, Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale, and Andy Ogletree.
