REVIEW: Callaway Fairway+ Stand Bag

Callaway came out with an incredible lineup of new golf bags for 2024, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on what is likely the most well-rounded one in the Fairway+ Stand Bag.

Callaway 2024 Golf Bag Lineup: What You Need to Know

Big enough to fit even the most "prepared" golfers, yet sleek enough to not be a pain to carry, the Fairway+ bag has a multitude of features, including soft rubber dividers, plenty of storage compartments, and a wide variety of colorways to fit any style.

I received mine a few weeks ago and was able to use it for three rounds so far, including one simulator session:

First Impression

Immediately, what stood out to me was the presence of the soft rubber dividers. On other bags, it usually is just a mesh material that wraps around what is like a plastic dividers. The rubber was much more desirable in my perspective, especially considering what it could offer in terms of club protection.

It also feels more solid and quality than what other bags offer, which to me is a huge advantage.

Another thing that stands out is the size of this bag. It is definitely geared toward being a cart bag, and while it has a stand, it is not something I would consider for walking a round of golf. It's simply too big.

Storage

There are a lot of storage compartments, including a spacious ball bag and valuables pouch right above it.

On the sides, there are even more pockets to keep things such as rain gear, sweatshirts, hats, and other accessories.

I really liked the quality of the zippers, which is what I've had an issue with on other bags. These were super smooth and felt exceptional in terms of quality.

Here's another good view of the far side pockets:

Dividers

One big thing I have with dividers is whether or not they are going to grab the grips and make it difficult to put in or take out clubs. No matter what kind of dividers I've had, whether it be a 14-divider, 4, or 5, there just always seems to be an issue with grabbing or things getting stuck.

I think because of the bulky-ness of the bag, it doesn't allow that to happen. This is quite honestly the first bag I've ever used where I didn't have any clubs sticking halfway out because they wouldn't go all the way down, and there was no issue pulling clubs out because they were getting stuck on dividers.

There was a lot of room for things to move around freely and no issue with a lack of space. Truly, this is one of the more pleasant experiences I've had with a bag in my golf life.

Overall

There is still plenty of time to experience more of the strengths of this golf bag, and most people want one to last several years, me included. So I'm hoping to see how much longevity this bag can offer.

From what I've seen thus far, this is the perfect bag for the person who is going to ride and wants extra space in their bag to accommodate for whatever they might bring along. It is made with high quality materials, and features everything you'd want on a golf bag in today's game.
