Rory McIlroy Confirms PGA TOUR Return Date After Masters Victory
Rory McIlroy has confirmed his return date to the PGA TOUR following his historic and monumental victory at The Masters, where he completed the Career Grand Slam.
McIlroy did not play in this past weekend’s RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island’s Harbour Town Golf Links, even though it was a Signature Event. The Northern Irishman decided to fly home to visit family and continue celebrating his victory at Augusta.
However, he is set to return to the PGA TOUR for the first time since his historic win this week, as he will head to New Orleans with best friend Shane Lowry to defend their title at the Zurich Classic:

His return is expected this week after winning at Augusta. Although Scottie Scheffler won his second Green Jacket last year and returned to the RBC Heritage the following week to defend his victory, McIlroy’s win was monumental in its own respect.
McIlroy waited 11 years to complete the Career Grand Slam, and now, with that monkey off his back, many believe the floodgates will open for the remainder of his career. He is already slotted as the favorite at the three remaining Major Championships.
It will be incredibly interesting to see his demeanor and attitude this week as it will be his first time back on the course.
