Rory McIlroy Got Heckled by a Fan – How He Responded Will Shock You

Rory McIlroy is no stranger to heckling, as any professional athlete receives a fair amount of chirps during their tenure as an entertainer.

However, one fan took it a tad too far during a practice round at TPC Sawgrass in preparation for THE PLAYERS Championship.

McIlroy teed off on a practice hole and his ball went into the water. One fan standing near the tee box yelled, “Just like 2011 at Augusta,” where Rory held a lead going into the final round, only to shoot an 80 and finish T15.

He didn’t take too kindly to the comment, and this is how he responded:

We have no information on what happened to the phone of the spectator who yelled the insult at Rory. However, it is likely sitting in Rory’s golf bag as we speak.
