Scottie Scheffler Blames LIV for Pro Golf’s Divide: ‘Go Ask Those Guys!’
Scottie Scheffler does not want to hear any more about the divide in pro golf, nor does he want to hear about how the PGA TOUR is contributing to it.
Instead, the World #1 is pointing the blame in the direction of LIV Golf, according to a recent statement he made during a pre-Masters media conference call. Scheffler is well aware that the divide in pro golf has been something weighing on the minds of fans and fellow players, but he’s unwilling to take any of the slack.
Scheffler told fans to “go ask those guys” when they want reasons on why the game is not together.

While we can undoubtedly blame those who defected to LIV for separating the game as a result of whatever they wanted that the PGA TOUR wouldn’t give them, we technically do not know who is to blame for the game not coming back together, because details of recent negotiations have not been released.
Scheffler’s full tirade went as follows:
“They did what they wanted to do, and I can’t control their life. I’m not going to sit here and say they should have done something differently. They made their choice. If we want to figure out why the game of golf is not back together, go ask those guys. Go to wherever they are playing this week and figure out when the game is going to come back together.”
There is definitely some resentment in this statement, and who could blame him for being a little upset? First, because there is no indication of when the game is coming back together. We have been teased with reports of a potential deal for months, being told that the game is closer than ever before to coming back together.
It truly does not seem as if the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf are ever going to make it back to where they once were.
However, you have to wonder what kind of tension this might bring to The Masters as it will be the first time the two tours are engrained together on one course since The Open Championship last year.
