SPOTTED: TRUE linkswear Knit IIs
TRUE linkswear has been one of the smaller golf companies that consistently brings quality products to market. Indeed, since the company’s revitalization, TRUE has put out several different models of spikeless shoes that range between dedicated golf shoe, like the Major and Original, and casual streetwear that is at home, on the course, or at the bar, such as the Knit and TL-01.
Notably, though, TRUE doesn’t like to sit back and wait for feedback. Instead, the company is constantly looking for places to improve, whether it’s new developments or technology that’s helping set other models apart.

The Knits II, ironically, hit both of those points, as the original Knits were incredibly comfortable and well-received by golfers who enjoy walking and people, like myself, who want a comfy, breathable summer shoe.
So what could be done to improve on a shoe that weighed merely 9.5 ounces and allowed your feet to remain cool throughout a round or long walk by the beach? Well, how about making it lighter, more flexible and even more comfortable…

Starting from the ground, the Knit IIs still feature a spineless, cross-tread for traction, but where the real improvement was made is the midsole, which now features TRUE’s Wanderlux material. Wanderlux offers superior rebound, energy return, and durability, but what matters most is that it offers, arguably, the most shock absorption in the industry. In other words, the Knit IIs are comfy like walking on clouds.
But if the comfort improvements weren’t enough, TRUE also found a way to lighten the Knit IIs, bringing them down to 9.1 ounces. While that doesn’t sound like a lot, what matters is that your foot aren’t weighed down with additional, unnecessary weight, which is a huge help when you’re trying to walk 36 holes in a day at a Bandon or your favorite local muni.
Next, TRUE redesigned full sock-fit liner, so the Knit IIs comfortably hug your foot (making it perfect for when you wanna ditch the socks post round).

Finally, TRUE also redesigned the lace box and one-piece TRUEknit upper, which is water and oil repellent, so it can be machine washed, meaning your shoes can maintain that brand-new look even after you’ve stepped in some mud or got beach (or bunker) sand caught up in them.
The TRUE Knit IIs are on sale right now (perfectly timed for anyone looking to get some holiday shopping done for their favorite golfer) for $140, and are available in Black, Grey & Navy Blue.
And if you don’t think I’m excited about the Knit IIs, well, just check out what Matt Ginella thinks of them!
