STYLE: Nike Announce Special Edition Air Max 90 Golf for 2022 PGA Championship

Nike is one of few brands that makes sure to celebrate every one of the Majors, and a few other special events (like Ryder Cups), with unique, special edition gear that honors the event and its host. 

With the PGA Championship only days away, Nike Golf has debuted a special edition version of the Air Max 90 Gs to honor Southern Hills Country Club, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Featuring a “Summit White/White/Metallic Silver/Sanded Gold” colorway, the newly-surfaced pair makes reference to Route 66, one of the United States of America’s oldest highways. Exclusive insoles feature a highway map overlay, while traditional Air Max branding on the tongue labels is replaced with a highway sign-stylized “NIKE ’72,” a reference to Nike’s official start as a company.

The golf-spin on Tinker Hatfield’s 32-year-old design features a spikeless tread pattern, making these Air Max 90 Gs perfect on and off the course.
