Who knew that trash could look so good?

Just in time for the Masters, footwear giant Nike has announced new iterations to their golf shoe lineup, with one big catch; all of the shoes feature an upper made completely of recycled materials.

Sure to be seen on the feet of some of the biggest names in golf such as Jason Day, Tony Finau, Rory McIlroy and possibly Brooks Koepka, bar his knee injury keeping him from participating, this newest lineup, dubbed the “Masters NRG Pack,” aims to make “green” both fashionable and functional.

The pack consists of three models, each with their own unique flavor and color scheme.

Headlining the pack is the Nike Air Max 90 G NRG (Above Photo). Featuring some classic Masters colors, it’s sure to be a fan favorite. A take on Nike’s popular runner, the Air Max 90, the Air Max 90 G offers thicker, more pronounced traction than the non-golf version of the shoe and serves as the only spikeless offering of the pack. The outsole is made from Nike Grind, which contains at least 10 percent of recycled materials such as rubber, textiles, foam and leather.

Next on deck is the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG. Popularized by Brooks Koepka, the Air Zoom Infinity Tour features three large spikes for maximum traction and grab. Of course, for the NRG interaction of the shoe the recycled canvas upper is the main talking point, and is complimented nicely by the what appears to be pink color scheme.

Lastly, we have the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 NRG. Other than the name not tying it directly to Rory, the shoe itself was pretty much made for McIlroy, who collaborated with Nike to make the first iteration of the shoe, the Air Zoom Victory Tour, when it was originally released in 2019. The second version of the shoe was first released just a few weeks ago, with Nike set to release the recycled NRG version next week. The Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 NRG features seven spikes for ultimate traction and stability.

Of course, these shoes won’t be limited to just tour pros. Golfers, fans and collectors alike will be able to purchase two of the limited edition shoes (Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG for $180, Air Zoom Victory Tour for $200), on Nike.com starting on April 5th. The Air Max 90G NRG is set to release sometime later in May, with no specific date announced at this time.
