Swiss Golfer Breaks World Record, Plays 252 Holes In One Day
Maybe sometimes golf can be about quantity, rather than quality.
Jürg Randegger, a Swedish man, set out to play the most golf holes over a 12 hour period. He had to complete each hole, and was walking, not riding. The challenge took place at Ostschweizerischen Golf Club in Niederbüren, Switzerland.
Randegger proved his stamina and drive as he shattered the previous record by 31 holes. All in all, he completed a total of 252 holes, meaning that he played the course a total of 14 times through.

According to the Guinness World Records website, “Jürg attempted this record not only for his love of running and golf but also to bring awareness to the Special Olympics Switzerland that help people, through the power of sports, with intellectual disabilities.”
To offset the large amount of walking required, Randegger used only a 7-iron, and finished his 14th round with a 90, only his second lowest score of the challenge.
An amazing feat, considering he walked a total of 57 miles to get through all 252 of the holes.
