The Greek Freak Tries Hand at Golf and Fails Miserably
To most of us, the game of golf does not come easily. That fact has is illustrated by NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo recent attempt to take up the sport.
Antetokounmpo, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, also known as “the Greek Freak,” decided that he wanted to try his hand at golf last week, celebrating National Golf Week with a lesson at Topgolf. And while Giannis may be a star on the hardwood, he definitely needs some work if he plans on hanging up his Jordans for some spikes.

Easily the best part of the video was Antetokounmpo’s pre-shot dance as preparation. Unfortunatly for The Greek Freeak, the his golf swing were not as good as his dance moves.
In his own words, Antetokounmpo decided that he is terrible at golf and he will just stick to basketball.
Giannis isn’t the first basketball player to take a liking to golf. Michael Jordan and Larry Bird are both excellent golfers, and both have even competed in some pro-ams on the PGA TOUR.
Regardless of how serious he is about taking up the game, The Greek Freak’s mediocre swing did bring back some memories of another former NBA player who challenges him for the worst swing.
Charles Barkley Golf Swing

Giannis may stay away from the game after his failed TopGolf lesson but Sir Charles keeps coming back. Barkley is so bad, however, that there was even a TV show where experts attempted to teach him how to swing better. Let’s just say I wouldn’t want to play a round behind either of them.
So while NBA players and other sports stars are taking a liking to golf, from this video it looks like some players are going to need more lessons than others. And if you’re in the Milwaukee area, you may want to call up the Greek Freak and see if you can fix that swing for him.
