The Masters Gets its First Withdrawal from a Past Champion

The Masters has officially announced its first withdrawal from the 2025 tournament, as past champion Vijay Singh has pulled out due to injury.

Singh, the 2000 Champion, told the Competition Committee on Monday morning that he would not play this week, the Tournaments official social media accounts announced:

Singh will be the 17th past champion who will forgo their ability to play in the 2025 Masters as the following have also confirmed they will not play this year:

  • Charles Coody
  • Ben Crenshaw
  • Sir Nick Faldo
  • Raymond Floyd
  • Trevor Immelman
  • Sandy Lyle
  • Larry Mize
  • Jack Nicklaus
  • Mark O’Meara
  • Gary Player
  • Craig Stadler
  • Tom Watson
  • Ian Woosnam
  • Fuzzy Zoeller
  • Tiger Woods

The Masters is set to kick off this Thursday, and several new things have come to Augusta National for the 2025 tournament.
