Tiger Woods Says PGA TOUR and LIV Golf Could Play Together ‘Very Soon’
Tiger Woods believes that the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf will be unified in the very near future as negotiations between the two tours and a major financier continue and are headed toward a resolution.
Professional golf has been fractured since the establishment of LIV Golf and its inaugural season a few years ago, splitting the world’s best players across two tours.
However, all signs point toward the end of that dynamic. Over the past several months, players and executives from both the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf have said that it seems a solution is nearing, especially as President Donald Trump has gotten involved.
Now, there is even more reason to believe the fracture in men’s professional golf is coming to a close.
Yesterday, during the final round of the Genesis Invitational, tournament host Tiger Woods stopped by the CBS desk to join both Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman to discuss how things are proceeding as the two tours are attempting to form a conglomeration that would likely be better for the game as a whole.

Woods believes the two tours will be playing together “very soon,” he said in an interview with Nantz and Immelman, while also confirming that additional meetings with the President are planned in an effort to move things along.
The PGA TOUR and LIV Golf have lived in a strange environment for the past several years. Top talent on both tours is essentially split, and although the PGA TOUR may have a deeper lineup, there are certainly needle-movers on both sides that are being missed.
However, it seems things are going to be fixed soon. Both LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil and PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan have indicated and hinted that things are moving along and there could be a solution soon, which would be the best-case scenario for both tours.
