Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red apparel brand is now officially available for purchase, with a handful of clothing options now for sale.

Sun Day Red was established after Woods left Nike after a lengthy 27-year tenure as its icon for golf. The split was amicable, according to Woods’ own words, but it appeared as if it was time for something new as the company has sparred with the idea of getting out of the golf space altogether.

Woods established Sun Day Red (SDR) with TaylorMade, which has equipped clubs for the 15-time Major Champion since 2017. Now, Woods has his own apparel brand under the guidance of what is one of the largest OEMs in the golf space, and its first offerings are limited, but sufficient.

Sun Day Red — First Collection

The introductory Sun Day Red collection features polos, t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, pants, and sweatshirts.

Ranging from $70 for a t-shirt and $200 for a hoodie, the Sun Day Red initial collection is not for the feint of heart price-wise, but TaylorMade and Tiger Woods know they have one thing on their side: name loyalty.

The brand reached out to Golficity earlier this week to highlight two pieces in particular: the Training Dry Hoodie and 3D Lightweight Hoodie, both versatile coverage pieces that Woods wears himself.

Training Dry Hoodie

This is labeled as a “favorite of Tiger” and was built upon his own preferences and insights. It appears the Big Cat needed something lightweight but also suitable for both cold and warm-weather situations.

Priced at $135, it is labeled as a piece that can handle both “excessive warmth and wetness.” Powered by Powered by Polartec® Power Dry®, it is able to wick moisture to keep athletes cool and dry.

3D Lightweight Hoodie

Large enough to keep you warm but light enough to feel like there is nothing there, the 3D Lightweight Hoodie is a $200 piece that Woods specifically worked on first with manufacturers when the line became an idea.

Woods said:

“I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing anything.”

It seems SDR may have come through on this.

Designed to “not cling to your swing,” the 3D Lightweight Hoodie features maximum mobility for clean, unrestricted swings and moisture-wicking fabric to keep air flowing.

Other Pieces

As previously mentioned, the initial Sun Day Red launch has plenty of things to choose from. Be sure to check them out, there are plenty of options and colors, but be prepared to pay: TaylorMade and Tiger both know they have something special here.
