Titleist is launching new Golf Ball Fitting App that is Trackman-compatible and helps players determine which of the balls in its lineup is most suitable for their game.

Jeremy Stone, Senior VP of Golf Ball Marketing and U.S. Sales for Titleist, said:

“Our goal with the new fitting app is to make golf ball fitting more accessible and convenient. Every day, we see the benefits of golfers finding the right flight, spin and feel for their games, but we also know that selecting the correct model can be difficult without the necessary information or the right process. The Titleist Golf Ball Fitting App gives us the scale to meet more golfers on the fitting tee and provide them an accurate golf ball recommendation that is unique to them.”

While many players are quick to get clubs fitted, many forget about the golf ball. Most will say, “It doesn’t make a difference,” or “It only makes a difference if you’re a pro.” But the truth is, you are probably playing a ball that does not fit your game.

I’m a prime example. For years, I played ProV1 and ProV1X, when in reality, I preferred a softer ball with a low ball flight. I switched to AVX this year, and my game has gotten more consistent. I’ve learned that playing those other balls truly doesn’t suit my game.

How the Titleist Golf Ball Fitting App Works

In as little as 15 minutes, Titleist’s new Golf Ball Fitting App will tell you which ball you should play. It will ask the player about course conditions, preferences, and typical course conditions. Additionally, it will ask about handicap and current ball choice.

Then, it will have the player hit three of the following shots: half-swing wedge, full-swing pitching wedge, 7-iron and driver. The app will recommend you hit each of the balls solid, so if you have a mishit or a bad shot, go ahead and scrap it and tee up another.

After 12 shots, it will then use the App’s proprietary algorithm. Then, it will choose the correct ball for you between the Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash, and AVX.

Titleist Golf Balls: Which Model is Best for Your Game?

Playing the correct ball will undoubtedly help put you in better position on the course, while also getting the most distance and optimal ball flight from your equipment, consider getting fit for the correct ball.
