TRUE x Linksoul Slip: A Shoe for the Casual Golfer

It’s no secret that one of the biggest amateur golfer complaints is how stuck up golf can be at times, particularly in regards to the clothes that we’re required/expected to wear. Indeed, while some of us take pride in arriving to the first tee wearing our favorite wrinkle-free ensemble, some of us just want to roll out of bed, throw on a shirt and a backwards had, and tee it up with the boys. And why shouldn’t we??

Unfortunately, there hasn’t really been a golf shoe for the more casual golfer. Sure, there’s some sneaker-inspired designs out there, but there truly isn’t something for the golfer that could wear the same pair of shoes while sinking a birdie, playing an acoustic guitar, or throwing back a beer while sitting on the front porch.

TRUE linkswear is a brand that might as well be dedicated to that guy. Indeed, TRUE embodies the mantra Enjoy the Walk, as it has dedicated its efforts to creating golf shoes that are comfortable and can be used anywhere.

The TRUE x Linksoul Slip (available in Charcoal and Light Grey) is the golf shoe that many casual golfers existed and, unfortunately, couldn’t have. True to a traditional slip-on sneaker, the Slip features a minimalistic elastic strap for adjustable fit and feel and a premium select suede upper that provides enhanced breathability and a high-quality feel and look.

Furthermore, we’ve reviewed several different pairs of TRUE shoes over the year, including most recently the TL-01s which features a very similar deep rubber outsole tread. Despite the very familiar sneaker-ish appearance, I can assure you that the Slip will, likewise, provide plenty of traction for the golfer who wants to continue wearing these with that t-shirt picturing his favorite 80s/90s rock album.
