Tyrell Hatton Moves On From PGA Tour, Joins LIV Golf
Tyrell Hatton is the latest name to defect from the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf.
On Monday morning, it was revealed that Hatton signed what is expected to be at least a £50 million deal to join LIV Golf, ending his career on the PGA Tour.
Hatton had originally ended speculation that he would join LIV earlier this month when he officially committed to this weekend’s AT&T Championship at Pebble Beach. He will now withdraw from the event and play in LIV’s initial event for 2024 in Mayakoba, Mexico.
First reported by The Telegraph, Hatton is the second recently-departed European Ryder Cup team member to join LIV, as Adrian Meronk joined last week.

The list of names to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV continues to lengthen, and as negotiations for the two tours continue and look toward a potential merger, it is becoming more clear that one side is gaining momentum.
LIV Golf is now in control of two Major Championship holders, as Jon Rahm joined LIV late last year and Brooks Koepka was an early departure. There still seems to be some speculation that LIV could grab more big names, including Viktor Hovland, who said that he does not have plans to leave the PGA Tour.
However, Hatton also seemed to be a player hounded by rumors of a potential departure, only to join LIV a few weeks later.
