If two of life’s most precious commodities—time and money—are of no object, then you can have yourself the ultimate sports day on Thursday, beginning and ending with championship events and enjoying time at one of sport’s most famous venues in between.

U.S. Open – The Country Club at Brookline, 6:45 a.m.

The first golfers tee off for the year’s third major at 6:45. You can camp out at the opening tee or choose to follow around some of the early groups. Collin Morikawa and Jon Rahm are part of a group that goes off at 7:18, or you can check out Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Hideki Matsuyama teeing off on the 10th hole at 7:40.

Your best bet is to park at any of these MBTA stops for free and then take a free shuttle to the course from the Forest Hills, Boston College, Cleveland Circle, or Reservoir stations.

Oakland Athletics vs. Boston Red Sox – Fenway Park, 1:35 p.m.

At lunchtime, take the shuttle back to Cleveland Circle and board the T on the Green Line to Kenmore, where Fenway Park is right around the corner. Grab some food and a beer before heading to your seats to see the Red Sox finish up their three-game series with the A’s.

Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics, NBA Finals Game 6 – TD Garden, 9 p.m.

After the Red Sox game, try to catch a nap or drop into a nearby pub to catch the rest of the U.S. Open on TV. The Green Line will also take you to the TD Garden by stopping at North Station. If you’re a Celtics fan, you’ll want the boys in green to win and push the series to Game 7, but you also might see the Larry O’Brien trophy awarded to Stephen Curry and the Warriors if they pull out the win.

Either way, it would be the perfect cap to a legendary sports trifecta that may never be able to be repeated.

Chris has worked in sports journalism for nearly 20 years and also loves the game of golf, even though it often doesn't love him back. Year-round golf is a perk of living in Florida, where Chris moved from his native New York shortly after graduating from college. Chris has played some famous courses in the state, including Bay Hill in Orlando and Innisbrook in the Tampa Bay area, and next on his to-do list is the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass to take a crack at the famous island hole.
